Went past Ellsworth Commons this morning and have noticed nothing is happening there. What happened to the construction? All you see are piles of dirt and overgrown weeds. Not a pretty sight. Also what happened to the other office building that was started just south of the Ripe Tomato? Has the economy effected these projects? And some of you think AMD is still coming in? With their shares down to almost $4.00, I'm sure they will take another look at their construction promises or maybe they will use the state's (taxpayers') money to build and sell the building for cash in their pockets. Ummmmm, not a bad idea. I'm sure it's been thought of.

read this article. I hope the state steps in and puts our Town Board members in their place. If AMD is meeting all state and fed guidelines, they should not have to also provide a report to a bunch of Barney Fife small-town board members.

If I'm not mistaken, the developer for Ellsworth Commons is the same as for Steeplechase and St. Ledger Woods. With St. Ledger Woods being a big flop, I wonder if they are hurting financially. Or it could be that it is just hard to get the contractors there. I did notice a bunch of pipes showed up there a couple of weeks ago. It could be just a delay while they wait for the materials to show up.

You could be right, Roy. The area looks pretty bad right now. Deserted. The weeds have really taken over fast.

They intentially seeded the site with a wildfield mix to prevent offsite sedimentation.

Oh, thanks for the info, Orb. That explains how quickly it grew. Wish my lawn seed grew that fast.
