Funny how I've listed my townhouse for sale under the For Sale board and under the community board and they have both been removed. If a Luther Forest townhouse owner cannot list their unit for sale on these message boards, who can??

I love how real estate agents take all the flyers out of my for sale by owner sign too. I printed probably 50 and put them in there and they were all gone by next day. I doubt I had 50 interested buyers stop by and take a flyer.

I noticed that your listing went away as well. I certainly had nothing to do with it. I would suggest you contact the gentlemen who runs the site. I'm sure there's a logical explanation. I have seen other FSBO sellers on here in the past. It may have something to do with the fact that you were redirecting readers to craigs list. Most website's don't like redirects. I can't say that for certain but that's just a guess. A quick email to Bob (webmaster) should answer your question.

I sincerely doubt any decent Realtor would have taken your flyers. It's just not something those who have been doing this for so long would do. Perhap's there's a few fly-by-nights loser Realtors but it's not the norm. On the issue of flyers, I can tell you from my own experience the first large number do disappear very quickly. It's not buyers but neighbors who just want to learn about whats for sale in the neighborhood. Personally when I fill a brochure box, I usually only put 15 or so and have the homeowner replenish it as needed. This avoids problems with perhaps teens walking around at night just being teens.

Thanks Hugh. You certainly have some good points. Only reason i directed to Craigslist was so I could show people photos.
As for the realtors, its amazing what vultures some can be since I put the house up for sale. I know you have not been 1 of them but others do not give up and these ones I do not put past taking my flyers-making it harder for me to sell on my own therefore I will contact a realtor for help-i'm sure they are hoping its them.

I have to laugh about your vulture comment. Just a piece of advice, the Realtors that chase the "for sale by owners" are in most cases the least experienced ones. We all started somewhere and back in the 80's I did that as well. But I hope I wasn't offensive to anyone. But seriously if you feel any Realtor is getting overzealous it makes us all look poorly. We do have a code of ethics that should be followed. Just a couple tips on handling them is to tell them your phone is on the "do not call list" I think you'll find that will end repeated calls from the same agent. We are not suppose to call anyone on that list. If anyone is really causing you grief you can complain to the Board of Realtors in Albany which all of us belong to. They have review boards that will take your complaint seriously.
