I drink beer there at least once a week.

Great place, and close to home.

Has anyone been to the Mill, their other Malta establishment yet? It looks like they really did a nice job with it, and the patio looks really inviting every time I drive by. I always see quite a crowd there, too.

The Parents Without Partners group I belong to went there about 2 weeks ago. They said the food was good - I guess it was "bar food", like sandwiches etc. but everyone said it was good. I go past there every night on my way home from work and like you said, it's always packed. I like what they did with the patio. It does look inviting.

I'm no food critic and i'm not picky.
The food that I had the other night ....was not to good in my opinion. The bar scene looks to be ok though - if that's what you're going for. I've been there a few times previously and had food and it was mediocre - would take the Malta Diner any day - love the Diner

Maybe they still have to work out the kinks in the kitchen, because the food is pretty good at both the Rusty Nail and Bentley's.

It is on Route 9 just south of Round Lake on the left. It used to be an old, run-down bar. The owner of Bentley's and the Rusty Nail bought and renovated it.

How the client base changed? I was in that place about ten years ago and it was the roughest looking crowd I've ever seen.
I love the Rusty Nail, too!

I have been there about 4 times now, mostly to play pool. They attract a nice crowd, I have seen a few familiar faces from Bentley's. The website states they are working on enlarging the kitchen facilities to expand their menu. They offer about 10 items and generally the food is pretty good and I'm sure it will get better. It's a nice place!

Wayne and his crew did a heck of a job transforming what was Bob and Arlene's into the Mill. The interior is warm and welcoming. The kitchen is TINY! That's what there isn't much of a menu there yet. The outside patio is very inviting Smile Stop down for a cocktail, play pool or just sit back and relax. I've stopped down there several time since it has opened and always enjoyed myself!

How many TVs does Bentley's have?

With the college football season quickly approaching I'm on the lookout for new places to watch the games and drink a beer or 4. Normally I go to Peabody's in Saratoga, but if there is a good place with TVs within walking distance, even better.

So what's the best place in Malta to catch a football game (and with enough TVs that there's a good chance that they will have a variety of games on and/or will be able to put it on the channel I want)?

I've heard that the Northway Fellowship has a bunch of TVs, but they probably wouldn't tune them to the game you want to watch. Also, I'm pretty sure they would frown on you cracking open a brew there. I'd stick with Bentley's. Big Grin

On the other hand, I do do a lot of praying while I'm watching football...
