There is a clear distinction in the race for Town Board. There are 2 vacancies and 3 candidates on the ballot running for them. Cynthia Young is the Democrat and by far has more experience. Cynthia has been an involved member of the community for over 20 years and raised her family here. She is in Rotary, on the Board of Assessment Review and Chair of the Malta Youth Commission as well as other memberships. She is a home owner who cares about property taxes.
The biggest distinction I see between Cynthia Young and her Republican opponents is her view of a walkable downtown off of Route 9. She endorses the Master Plan which provides for shops concentrated in one area - where we can park our cars and walk to businesses. It would be great to be able to shop locally and enjoy the park like setting envisioned for the Ellsworth Commons area. I do hope Cynthia wins on November 3 and I can look forward to our new "downtown". Maggie |

DA - I believe the county dems did give Cynthia some money but I was believe it was after the last filing deadline with the State Board of Elections, so it hasn't shown up on the NYS Board of Elections campaign contribution website.

DA,
Pastor Klotz isn't running for office - he is already in office. Cynthia is out and about almost daily campaigning and talking to people directly. I guess its a matter of personal style but her approach is to get out and meet people personally and explain her positions and visions. Maggie |

Write-In Votes really are simple! See the picture in this post to see the layout of the machines today. Remember, pull the lever for Cynthia in column 8 first, and then write me in above column 9 as shown in the picture. Thanks again everyone for their support!
