I find it interesting when one says "Clean up Albany" when them, thier counterparts, and minions are in Albany! Besides if we needed to start cleaning anything it should be the wastful spending in the City!

The debate last night was NUTS. Cuomo came off as the only one with a little bit of sense and I wanted to know more about Redlich. But then a party called "The Rent is Too Damn High" ... seriously????!!! I thought I was watching an SNL skit!

I would like to think Redlich can pull off a win for the Libertarian vote but I don't really think it's going to be possible. Good intentions. He was also spending his time railing on Cuomo so much that I don't feel we got a good chance to hear how he is going to do things differently.

I've been on his site (funny YouTubes and a good sense of humor) but I agree, has NY politics really come to this??

Redlich is the only one worth voting for. It's too bad the system is set up in such a way that he can't win. Frown

He was pretty good until he endorsed Chris Gibson and then I completely lost my respect for him. Smile Believe it or not, I was intrigued by Howie Hawkins' and his ideas...

Redlich...his little red face was so cute, but passionate politicians never win.

Paladino and Cuomo oozed with grease, the both of'em are f**kin snakes in the grass. I agree Redlich is the way to go, I even think that Davis made some good points. Legalize pot and the state zeros its debt within a couple of years.

If you're okay with the state of the State, vote for Status Cuomo.

AOL News deemed "The Rent is Too Damn High" guy the winner of the debate! I think he's been on the ballot for Gov. 3 times now.

If you all remember the Special Election of 2009, Assy.Tedisco, Rep.Murphy and Eric Sundwall (Libertarian) right before the debate Murphy-Tedisco got Sundwall booted from the election. Sundwall is Redlich's Campaign Manager, so its no suprise to me that Redlich is probly not to fond of the 2!

I've been trying to find some of these election laws. I was told if a Party recieves 5% of the Gubernatorial vote they will automatically have the right to excersize the ballot line for the fallowing 4 years (until the next Gubernatorial vote). Again I'm not for sure, I keep ending up finding the Election Law Section 6-134 and Rules and Regulations part 6215 where I can't find the definitive answer.

So if the 5% rule is true and Redlich or Howie or even Paladino's Taxparty line gets 5%, then it will be harder to boot these third parties from the elections!

If the Green Party gets 5% I'm sure they are going to run for Saratoga Springs public offices, the Green members there are the ones attempting to make Saratoga Springs ran by a City Manager!

If Redlich gets atleast 5% then there will be libertarians competing locally aswell, Like maybe Sundwall for U.S. Congress again!

We all ofcourse have choices to make, I thought the Conservative Party (not that I wanted it to) was going away for 4 years when Levy dropped out. But apperently there are loopholes!

Those of you who are firmly voting for the status Cuomo need to choose whether you want to help the Working Family party, The independants, or just vote row A, so Coumo Just goes along with what reminds me of the Tammany Democrats in the city.

And for the Firm Paladino Supporters, you can vote Conservative, Republican so he's with Edwards for Lt. Gov, or start up a Taxpayers Line that he's on with Ognibene (I think I Spelled that right).

I'm on the fence between a few canidates here, but I do believe a third party is needed!

[QUOTE]Legalize pot and the state zeros its debt within a couple of years.

Not to burst your bubble, but if pot is legalized and taxed they will find additional ways to spend the $$. Paying off debt and making fiscally sound decisions is not what the politicians are good at. They are good, however, at spending our money on both worthwhile and worthless projects/initiatives.

They will probably end up borrowing against the next 30 years of tax collections on weed like they did with the tobacco bonds. Yes, it's irresponsible, but it's what they do...

Hack: Have you've seen any pictures or Redlich on TV prior to the debate, Its not a highly accepted thing to talk about another persons pigment or skin color!

Bop: Fortunatly most of the pro-cannibus canidates are anti-barrow, Like Davis, Hawkins and Redlich!

Spitzer/Parker on CNN said the "Rent is Too Damn High" guy was the clear winner aswell, I wonder what the media is upto!

I am sorry about blemishing Warren's pigment.

Btw, I am not against WR, I just made a comment that rings true to me... Politicians whose voices quiver and faces flush aren't generally elected.
And as usual, one of the forum member's had to jump me and refer to me as the "hack" (which has been patented by the next ex member of the town board).
I'm not surprized that it happened,I just didn't expect it from a gent like you.

"Hack"- I'm sure Klotzy didn't wake up one day and want to maliciously deem you that on the Message board. Why do YOU think you get called that?

I rielly don't expect an answer! If you rielly want to answer, answer it in one of my next topic's, Titled "The Pathetic Little Threat" in the Off-Topic forum.
