There was one in mine.

I wonder when we'll see the number of write-in votes.

I want to thank everyone for their support. I exceeded my goal of 50 votes, and have received the most write-in votes in Malta Town Board history. The official tally is not in yet, so the number will likely go up.

So thank you to all who voted. I am now looking forward to officially running in 2011, so stay tuned for more details in the coming year for Plante 2011!

P.S. - I too am sick to my stomach that the people of this Town elected Maggi Ruisi over Cynthia Young....makes me want to take an extended vacation......

Planner,
Simple analysis, majority of the people voted across party lines. If you want Young on the Town Board, the Dems need to field a better Town Supervisor candidate. One that promotes his campaign, one that DEMANDS a debate with Sausville. Morse is not a valid candidate. If I were you, I would start with finding a suitable Dem opponent for Town Supervisor and go from there.

Well, it is what it is...

Now you can all watch the Town Board in action tonight when they go against the fire protection study that was brought to them earlier this year and vote AGAINST the proposed fire protection contract! And guess what folks... it's only going to get worse come January when you're newly elected puppets take the stage...

Sound like sour grapes? Yes, maybe it is... but the facts will speak for themselves...

The town approves the coming of Global Foundries (and all of the hazardous materials that it brings with it) and, instead of asking for additional monies for fire protection, we get a million dollar ball field. Now, don't get me wrong, I am thrilled that we have a ball field (that the town can manage and control like everything else it does), but isn't it more important to think about the safety of our town residents?

If you are concerned about the fact that the town is planning on voting against the fire protection contract this evening, please show up tonight and voice your support.

Waa Waa Waa. Malta will never be the same no matter who got in. Let's move on. You can't make everyone happy. I thought Global Foundries was to have their own fire protection? The whole election thing in Malta is always one-sided. The Democrats need to wake up and get some good candidates. I did not vote for Crandall. I can't believe he ran unopposed!!

Where are you seeing those numbers? The Saratoga County Board of Elections doesn't list nearly that number. Of course their results were last updated at 10:40 last night, so the official numbers could have been revised.

The 50+ came from the poll watchers that reported to our camp after the election. The republicans are apparently stating they will not count a vote if it has a minor misspelling (i.e. Dave not David or Plant not Plante). Misspellings are irrelevant as it is the intent of the voter that drives the vote, so once the recanvass is done and they count any potential misspellings, it will be back up around 50.

In 2011, you will only have to push the lever, I can promise you that!

Official election results are in:

http://saratogacountyny.gov/up...cumulatedresults.pdf

I was correct, I netted 62 write-in votes, not counting the 8 for supreme court or 1 each for clerk and highway supt.

Again, in 2011, it will be much easier to vote for me. Pulling a lever will be easier than writing the name in.

Thanks again all for your support!
