I think Hillary should step down. She's ruining the democratic party with her loud mouth and childish behavior. She's acting like she's at a tea party with her idle chit-chat and comments. She sure is not a very good example of what a president wanna be should be. At least Obama acts like a gentleman and comes across like a leader should. She's still trying to convince us she had to duck from those make believe bullets that she didn't duck from. What a phony.

They're both a bunch of two-faced liars. Obama is no better - sad this is the best the Democratic party has to offer.

I am still knowing what Obama has done that shows he can run a country. I've always thought the best candidate is a Governor, because it's like a natural progression, running a state then moving up to run a country. I know Obama is a great speaker, but I still don't know what his accomplishments are. I'm not knocking him, but does anyone know what he has accomplished in his 3 years as a Senator? If you are an Obama supporter, please tell me why I should vote for him, without knocking Hillary or McCain. Tell me about his past accomplishments.

Before he went into the Senate, he was interviewed by PBS and was asked if Democrats should wear their "faiths" on their sleeves the way the Republicans do. Did he point out that the Constitution prohibits any religious test and that Democrats have better family values because they believe in supporting families with jobs, and education, and child care, and health care? Nope. He said, why yes. And who had is pastor at his swearing in or whatever. So, he just threw the progessive agenda under the bus and said he was all set to say anything to gain support. What was new politics about that?

Merry: if you would kindly go to the Barack Obama site www.barackobama.com you can read about his background and accomplishments. The article is much too long for me to type here.

By the way, Merry, I hope you are enjoying the "quiet" in the Forest. Thank goodness I have to be at work!! Have a good day, neighbor.
Let's not argue over politics - it's only temporary - like life and AMD.

No Hillary should not drop out. You percieve her as "childish" because you are for Obama. He is a copycat. He "Hijacks" her ideas as his own. When he began his only idea was "change". He gave no indepth idea what that meant. Then he started to Parrot Hillary's policies. Then he started winning all the black votes in those southern states. That is what moved him ahead. Total black ethnic voting for Obama ( I can understand them doing that after all, I would if I were black. The thing is only about 12% of our total population is black, so how can he win in the general election?? It is a big dilema.

I'm not black and I would vote for Obama. I can't stand Hillary (Billary). A vote for Hillary is a vote for Bill.

Jp You could vote for McCain in November!
I liked Hillary and voted for her in the NYS primary. I had no idea at that time who Obama was. He is OK but I'd prefer Hillary. I am not a bitter name caller like you who "hate" those you are politcally against. That is "childish". You bring up a subject on a political issue & when someone has a different opinion like Merry you say to her

.You were the name caller about Hillary. You seem to be "bitter" about a lot of issues. Too bad. It must make life hard for you.You don't like Malta parks, kids, road work, libraries etc. At least your posts seem to reflect those ideas. Do you go around with a frown?

I heard on the news today that Hillary is beating McCain in the polls. If the polls are accurate, she absolutely shouldn't step down. Personally, I prefer Obama but I don't think it's going to happen for him this election. You've got to give Hillary credit for her tenaciousness - we can only hope she would use that same tenacity in the White House.

I try not to be political...but after watching tonights news and everything Rev Wright is saying in the media the last few days....I have to wonder what the heck is going on?
Has there been a payoff? A huge donation to his church? I've seen all the last minute tricks over the years with numurous people running for office but I think we have reached a new level.
Based on the news tonight, Hillary will get the nod. Who would have ever thought?

Hugh! I woulda' thought she'd get the nod. She's brillant, seasoned, and has done beautifully in the Senate. Obama was and is a big unknown. Although I find the Rev. Wright to be eerlily, well, right. So, that's my two cents.

I have to agree with you Merry. Hillary will make a fine President. But I am a tad worried about Billy as "First Man".

Bill's my hero! He'll be like a kid on vacation if Hillary gets in the White House. He'll just be in the backyard playing all day while Hillary throwing dinner plates at her staff in the oval office. Bill has life all figured out....what's better than being President? Being married to the President, with all the benefits and no stress.

Polictics is amazing and this presidential race has proven to be quite entertaining.

On a serious note, whoever gets in there better start cutting through the politics and solving some simple problems... like the price of gas for one.

I am amazed at the "turn around" in the political scene. I do lean towards Hillary and am almost feeling excited about this new situation. However, there are many months to go to November. Rev. Wright is an odd one. Why would he do this to his friend Obama?? Chagrin?
I am picturing Bill as first man Eek It should be interesting
