Crandall wasn't sued, his company was. I doubt he was even on site when the accident occured. Adriance on the other hand is a multiple drunk-driving offender. Just saying is all.
Here's what I don't understand about Crandall's campaign strategy.
He's running in the Republican primary, but all his signs say that he is endorsed by the union. Why in the world would you put this on your sign in a primary that only Republicans are allowed to vote in?
I think most Republicans are against unions. You might as well be telling your base to vote for the other guy.
He should save the union support statement for the general election when you need the support of both sides, not just one party.
It's funny, the Republican Committee backed Tom for years, and now all of a sudden they think Crandell would do a better job? We have the best plow crew in our town during the winter months, I would hate to change any part of our Highway Dept at this point.
If Mr. Crandall is backed by the union, how in the world will he be able to negotiate a new union contract when it is due? He certainly won't be representing the town and the taxpayers as he owes the union for their backing. He will probably give the union workers a 10% pay increase just to keep them happy and backing him. That means our taxes will go up. I can see a Highway Tax in our future if Roger Crandall gets elected.
Oh, Concerned, that is nonsense. The personnel contracts are negotiated town-wide by the board's designated representatives. How about we look on a possibe bright side. As a union backed manager, he would be in a cooperative atmosphere right out of the gate. Remember, the union represents the workers who must function under a given manager. If they're backing a change, I suspect it's because they can see one is needed.
