Well, I think you could get a better meal at someplace other than a strip club Pastor Klotz.

planning and licensing has been completed for almost two weeks. Blueprints are in review already and the hearing is coming up soon. Geez you're slow.

One Democrat is throwing her hat in the ring for the upcoming Town Board election in the Town of Malta.

22-year town resident Cynthia Young announced her candidacy Wednesday, June 17. She has worked for the town in the clerk and assessor offices, is a member of the Board of Assessment Review and an alternate for the Zoning Board of Appeals. In a statement, she said she intends to seek the Democrat and Working Families lines. She previously made bids for the office of town clerk.

This year’s race is unusual as no incumbents are seeking reelection to the Town Board. Councilman Gerry Winters is retiring and Councilwoman Sue Nolen is waging a primary run against incumbent Supervisor Paul Sausville.

“I am running for Town Council because I believe I can make a difference in the ay our town is governed. I believe the business of the town needs to be conducted in a more open environment, with spirited debate focused on what’s right for the residents of the Town of Malta,” said Young in a statement.

The town’s Republican Committee has endorsed Maggi Ruisi and John Hartzell for the open Town Board seats.

Cynthia Young will be a wonderful addition to the Town Board - she will bring a refreshing openess and honesty to the board. Her experience and commitment to Malta make her a perfect candidate.
I am pretty sure she will oppose the reciting of the Lord's Prayer at meetings too. That really has to stop.
