After listening to the Albany-Saratoga Speedway for hours tonight echoing throughout the forest, racing came to mind.

Watching cars going around and around in a circle doesn't interest me, but street cars drag racing does. Does anyone know of drag strips in the capital district where street cars may compete? How much does it cost? When does it run?

I am about to go deaf from the Albany-Saratoga Speedway. I thought they only ran on Friday nights now it seems they are on all the time. I can hear them from the lake all the time. I can't stand it anymore.

LOVE the races - I can hear them every friday (sunday's if there is a rain out)... they are fun to watch too... my kids love going

They sure are LOUD. Thankfully they are only once a week.

By robins, I meant indicators of spring (and even summer, yeah!)

Damn, before the previous comment, I was saying that I've come to think of the races as especially loud robins. Then, it seemed, my laptop (all by itself, with NO bidding from me)closed and posted the response while I was still typing (or "keyboarding" as Human Resources people say so as diminish the fact that secretary jobs are being stolen by middle management). So, to explain the robin comment, I posted a subsequent message explaining the reference. AND THEN I realized that my first message (sent off by a haunted labtop) wasn't sent at all. So, now I really do seem crazy. Yeah, well, no news to many of you.

Nature ~ Did you check out the Lebanon Valley site? Do they still do time trials on Wednesdays? I used to run, just for fun. Sweet!!

I looked at some of it, have been really busy lately. Wednesday's has Test & Tune Plus Street Class.

I would like to go but its going to be some time before things simmer down in my life.

What car did you used to run? I drive a 22 second Geo Tracker hahaha.

Watching a geo tracker race down the strip is half the fun!! I used to take my 1990 corvette down for fun; back in the day. Used to hang out in Colonie/schdy Kmart parking lot ad drag race on Central ave too. Love it!!!
