I must say the thunder last night was really weird. Sounded like fireworks/gunshots and was extremely loud. Woke me up out of a sound sleep. Hopefully no one in the forest sustained any damage with the winds, rain or lightning.....just an observation....

Scared me out of my wits. From the way it sounded, something got hit by lightening - maybe a tree. I was waiting to hear sirens if there was a fire - thank goodness there weren't any. I hate thunderstorms.

If I were my late, great, dog Beau...I would have been jumping into the bath tub! That's where he hid when it thundered!

WOW - that was the hardest downpour I've seen in a long time! It was relentless. The thunder was boming and rolling. Woke the kids.
