Hi we are Road to Oblivion and we are looking for some individuals who will come aboard to complete our line up. We possess a very good work ethic and need a rhythm section who can commit to joining us in this endeavor.

A little background and what we are looking for:

Last year we cut our first album and we are in the middle of cutting some new tracks for our sophomore effort. We want a complete band who likes the whole enchilada. Meaning Writing, Recording, Performing and Entertaining. We always encourage positive participation in all activities. Backing harmony vox and some leads are definitely a plus as is if you play any additional instruments such as fiddle, mandolin, dulcimer, lap/pedal steel. We are originals and covers, of course.

Influences: (the shape of the sound now and what’s to come)

Bonnie Raitt, Susan Tedeschi, Norah Jones, Wilco, Ryan Adams, The Flying Burritto Bros, Graham Parsons, Little Big Town, Delaney and Bonnie, The Band, Sugarland.

What we are definitely not looking for:

Fill-ins or anyone who is trying to fill their gig schedule. In these hard economic times no one can blame anyone who is trying to better their own financial situation somehow but we been there done that. Ultimately it doesn’t make us a tighter band and in turn makes the show/goal suffer. Again we are looking for people who want to be part of something not just show up as a temp.
