The Edie Road Session Seminar
The Edie Road Session Seminar is an intensive, week long program designed to provide a window into the world of high end studio recording. Conducted entirely in the our world class control room and studio, this unique program gives students a chance to participate in the production of a song from start to finish. An experienced, professional band is brought into the studio, and students will work side by side with the instructor through the phases of tracking, overdubbing, editing, and mixing a song. An entire four hour session will be devoted to each of these processes... with a mastering session on the final day, where the song will become part of a compilation CD. The focus of The Seminar is to allow students to apply, and in some cases augment, their accumulated knowledge of the production process. The roles and interactions of the artist, producer, engineer, and assistant engineer will also be closely examined. Whether you're a beginner, or have home studio experience, The Edie Road Session Seminar will help you develop the necessary skills, both technical, and personal: to conduct real world sessions effectively and professionally. The Seminar is held Monday through Friday July 20th to July 24th , in the evenings from 7PM to 11PM, and is open to anyone age 16 and up. If you are an educational institution, and wish to incorporate The Seminar into your existing curriculum, the hours and days of the program can be customized to fit you needs. The cost of the The Seminar is $500.00 per student, Checks must be in by June 20th and classes are limited to 10 students each.
