We just figured we'd make one more effort to find any interested musicians before we hold auditions....so...........

Ten Year Vamp (www.tenyearvamp) is looking for fill in musicians on
Lead Guitar, Bass and Drums.

Ten Year Vamp is a modern pop rock band that plays COVER GIGS and ORIGINAL GIGS. We play every Friday and Saturday night all over the northeast (within a 3 hour radius of Albany). We have the occasional weeknight gig.

We are looking for FILL INS for the cover band and the original band.
1-2 COVER SHOWs per month, on Fridays or Saturdays night. Each gig is 10pm-2am, 3 sets.
1-4 ORIGINAL SHOWs per month, sometimes weekends, sometimes weeknights. Each gig is 45 minutes, 1 set.

Ideally, we’re looking for musicians under the age of 35, with a strong awareness of the modern pop rock artists getting current radio play including music style, and look/image.

Sounds all good and fine as this is a very good,busy working band.... however beware that these fill in positions pay $100.00 per gig - per man. Doesn't sound too bad until you realize that the band is getting paid $1000.+ (depending on the venue) per gig and it's a only 5 piece unit! The singer(leader)and the rhythm guitar player(the other leader) get paid $300. each....you do the math. Fair or not??

I am a guitar player with 20 years playing 17 years gigging, proffessional and versatile gear (Valvetronix VTX Half Stack with combos for smaller gigs.) I also can sing but no more than two - five songs a night. I'm not really front man material (face made for radio if you dig). Once upon a time I was a decent classic rock singer but now I'm just passable.
