My first instinct was, "who cares?" My second was that this is an April fools joke, but not a very good one, since no one would really care about it.

Perhaps it is a joke, but it wasn't my joke? I was just curious. Sometimes a company will rebrand right before it launches a new product or department. So, in light of GF's request to add an additional building on the GF site, I thought maybe there was something more to the rebrand...

Tech companies rebrand their logos about once a year, so it doesn't seem like a big event to me. The fact that it looks like a bad photoshop attempt made me think that it was a joke. I'm sure if it was your joke, you would have come up with something much better. Smile

You know what? Since I posted, I've read some of the Times Union comments, I think you're right! I was clearly the victim of an April Fool's Day prank!! So, embarrassed...

I clicked to enlarge the person's face, by doing so it opened another link. That Wile E. Coyote Anvil was is a nice modification.

And the Question; "Could this architect's signage rendering be a sign of things to come in Malta, NY?"

Answer "Yes"

What is GF's real logo?
Why would anyone care at this point, as long as they are here?
So Irish what is your concern?

This is globalfoundries actual logo. And no, I don't believe they are rebranding.

Noon... I'm not concerned... it was a question posed out of pure curiosity from an odd article I read from the Times Union blog... as Roy quickly pointed out (much to my chagrin), I was the gullible victim of a poor April Fool's joke!
