Adult cat. Appears to be healthy but timid. Mostly black with white neck and chest, and white paws. If this is your cat, please contact Cheryl at 899-9292.

Update: The black and white cat is still living on my property (Wineberry Lane woods between Arrowwood and Partridge Drum). I have been feeding him regularly and was finally able to pick him up. He is a sweet male, all black with a white bib and white feet. He is a smaller sized cat, definitely maintained by someone and not a stray. I started seeing him in the woods and living under my shed late summer, which I am thinking is when he became lost or abandoned. I am very uncomfortable with leaving him out in the cold and would love to locate/return him to his owner.

On the back page of section 1 in the Ballston Journal this week there is a whole page of cats waiting adoption. A few of them were from the Malta area. For those of you still looking for your cat, maybe one of those kitties could be yours.

Diana,

We ended up capturing, neutering and keeping the Tuxedo cat that was living under our shed (third stray we have taken in). "Neumie" is a living doll; he is one of the sweetest cats we have ever had. Funny, but the tuxedo cat posted recently looks exactly like Neumie. The black and white coloring is identical and the size seems about the same. The vet estimates him to be about 3 years old now. I wonder if they are from the same litter?

Cheryl, I am glad you took Neumie in. Tuxedo Joe was just so skinny and and had been scavenging. The Vet thought he was between 4-7 I think. That's a wide range but they could have easily been from the same litter.

Do you have a picture? Smile

TJ is a character and just wants to be cuddled. We've got 6 of them now. 2 strays, two rescues and two feral rescues. I started out with the two ferals than met my partner who had two and we found two in the Forest. It's so sad to see these cats out there.

TJ escaped once for a minute out the door so I got the little guy a collar and nametag. I don't think he will do it again, but just in case.

TJ was neutered already. The vet thinks he could have been abandoned. Definitely a domestic cat who got lost or was tossed. Horrible to think about.

Thanks for saving another one. That's great!!! Smile

Thank you, too for saving a cat. I just don't understand how people can abandon a creature like a housecat?

They DO look alike! Amazing. Who knows, perhaps even distant cousins if not siblings. I feel Tuxedo Joe is definitely an older cat. He has definitely been through the school of hard knocks (chipped fang and all). We are working on putting some meat on his bones -- he's been a scrounger for too long.
